Hopefully everyone had an enjoyable long weekend and managed to survive the heat wave we experienced across Western Canada over the last few weeks. For the month of June, North Shore’s operational management team would like to take a moment to recognize some individuals for their outstanding contributions and efforts. This month, the following individuals are being recognized:
Samantha Odegard
Since joining North Shore, Samantha has quickly become instrumental in supporting the Data Management Group (DMG) with client projects. Samantha is responsible for compiling, summarizing, and tracking field data and analytical results. Samantha’s consistent positive attitude, organization, and calm demeanor has made a big impact on the DMG, especially when dealing with large client programs and time sensitive deadlines. Samantha consistently demonstrates an eagerness to learn and always improve herself. She is reliable, easily approachable, and always excited to help advance the goals of the team. Thank you, Samantha, for your dedication and hard work!
Danny Lajoie
As the Manager of North Shore’s Biophysical division, coupled with the fact that spring and summer are the absolute busiest time for his group, Danny has been putting forth a considerable effort over the last few months. He has been directly involved in many different things over the past month, including coordinating client safety training and reviewing safety standards, preparing project proposals, assisting with field planning and project kick-offs, completing client reporting, and most importantly, supporting his team both in-the-field and out-of-the-field with training, mentoring, report reviews, and much, much more. Danny has done an exceptional job juggling everything on his plate during this busy time and has ensured both clients and staff get what they need. Excellent work Danny, your level of effort is certainly appreciated by everyone working with you.
Alexandria Hamilton
Alexandria (Alex) has become an integral part of North Shore’s Remediation/Reclamation team and is a great team player. Alex never shies away from a project and strives to expose herself to new areas as much as possible to continue fostering her growth and experience as an Environmental Professional. Since joining North Shore last October, Alex has been part of Phase 2 ESA programs, winter remediation/reclamation programs, cultivated reclamation programs, and DSA’s. Through this time, it is very apparent that Alex is a quick learner and is passionate about her career. Alex is steadily emerging as a strong leader within North Shore. Great job Alex and keep it up!
Colin Bergen
Colin manages North Shore’s Vegetation Management division and his workload effectively grows exponentially in mid-May of each year. Although Colin is responsible for hiring and training North Shore’s seasonal vegetation control staff, as well as coordinating project work with clients, contractors and internal project managers, he still manages to contribute to a significant portion of fieldwork across Western Canada. His positivity, work ethic, and dedication to ensuring budgets are maintained and schedules are met is admirable, and North Shore is very lucky to have him as part of the team. Thank you Colin for all of your efforts!
Congratulations to these four individuals! North Shore would like to thank all of its staff for their hard work and contributions over the last few months. With provincial restrictions easing we wish everyone a safe and enjoyable summer season.
