North Shore is unique. We are continually recognized by industry and government for our company culture and innovative operational programs. We relish the opportunity to differentiate ourselves from our competitors and constantly push the status quo. Through new patented technologies, regulatory development, scholarship opportunities, and customized training programs, we are literally changing the environmental industry.
We pride ourselves on building meaningful relationships with our clients and provide them with the most cost-effective and efficient services possible. We achieve this by remaining flexible and adapting our business and corporate structure to meet our client-specific needs. As an outcome, we have developed some customized groups within our company to increase our operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Using our broad range of disciplines allows North Shore to take unique and cost-effective approaches to projects, which has resulted in the creation of our Technical Resources Group, Data Management Group, and First Nations Partnerships.
Technical Resource Group
North Shore’s Technical Resource Group is a multi-disciplinary team of practitioners working to support remediation and reclamation projects that require specialized approaches. The TRG has advanced knowledge of legislation, regulations, and guidelines that apply to remediation and reclamation work. Unique biophysical, chemical, geotechnical or hydrologic circumstances may require the use of specialized knowledge and approaches such as:
- Tier II Pathway Elimination
- Guideline Modification
- Specialized Remediation Options
- Risk Management
- Application of Subsoil Salinity Tool (SST)
North Shore’s TRG provides North Shore consultants and our clients with a compliment of technical, regulatory and field level expertise in Phase I, Phase II, reclamation and remediation for soil, surface water and groundwater. The members of the TRG include Hydrogeologists, Agrologists, Biologists, and Ecologists.
Data Management Group
North Shore has a dedicated Data Management Group (DMG) that is responsible for compiling, summarizing, and tracking project related documents. As field data is collected the DMG uploads, reviews, tracks, and ensures that project teams receive pertinent information in a timely manner.
The DMG plays a critical role in ensuring our project teams can meet tight timelines when dealing with large data sets. This information is used in conjunction with SiteView to provide accurate project updates for the entire project team. The DMG also compiles and tracks all aspects of each report to ensure a streamlined, efficient process. SiteView is also used to track report statuses, deadlines, table completions, figure completions, appendix compilations, reviews, and submissions to clients.
